CFBF/KHFMINC Join NGOs in Lagos to Mark World Humanitarian Day 2025

Committed Family Business Fellowship (CFBF)/Kingdom Heirs Fellowship Ministries Incorporated (KHFMINC) on Tuesday joined other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Lagos State to commemorate the 2025 World Humanitarian Day, themed “Strengthening Global Solidarity and Empowering Local Communities.”

The event, organized by the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) under the leadership of the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Bolaji Cecilia Dada, featured a vibrant rally within the Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja. The rally began at Shoprite, moved through the Secretariat axis, and culminated at the Secretariat grounds. It was aimed at promoting the spirit of humanitarian service and drawing attention to the crucial role of local actors in community empowerment.

As active NGOs in Lagos, CFBF/KHFMINC participated fully in the rally to express her solidarity with humanitarian workers worldwide and to reaffirm her shared commitment to uplifting communities and promoting collaborative action for social impact.

Welcoming participants to the celebration, Hon. Bolaji Cecilia Dada commended NGOs and humanitarian organizations for their unwavering service to humanity. She emphasized that this year’s theme underscores the importance of global solidarity and local empowerment as key drivers of sustainable development.

“World Humanitarian Day reminds us that true impact happens when we strengthen global solidarity. Our NGOs and community-based organizations are the heartbeat of humanitarian action in Lagos. Their dedication inspires us all,” she stated.

The rally served as a platform to raise awareness about humanitarian efforts, encourage volunteerism, and foster stronger collaboration between government and civil society in addressing pressing social needs across the state.

World Humanitarian Day is celebrated annually on August 19 to honor humanitarian workers and rally global support for people affected by crises. The active involvement of CFBF/KHFMINC in the 2025 celebration reflects her continued commitment to supporting humanitarian causes and empowering communities across Lagos State and beyond.
